How I ended up in Riobamba...
...and made a website about Riobamba

Hi, my name is Christine, but everyone here calls me titi.
Since Christine is an American name impossible to pronounce or spell for most Ecuadorians, as you might have already guessed I live in Riobamba-Ecuador one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on Earth.

I'm 24 years old and, I enjoy the freedom of doing what I want when I want.

More importantly I never have to worry about "being late for work" or worry about "getting fired".

What to know how? Keep reading.

But first let me tell you a little about myself, I was born on Long Island and am half Ecuadorian. That's a photo of Baltazar Uscha (the last "iceman") and me. I will never forget the day we met. Such a humble and amazing person.

I've lived here in Riobamba for over ten years with my family, there is just something so magical about Riobamba, and Ecuador in general.

Maybe its the pure air, the blue sky's without a single cloud, or the dark green mountains sprinkled with yellow and red flowers.

Absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely magical.

For as long as I can remember I've spent most of my childhood traveling with my family from Long Island to Ecuador (especially during the summer) to visit friends and family.

Until one (beautiful!) day the inevitable happened, my mother finally bought some land to build a house. And in the year 2002 the house was finished and we have lived here ever since.

We live near the Tungurahua volcano which we all had originally mistaken for a mountain (hey it was covered in snow!).

So you can imagine our surprise and with time our delight.

Our delight?

Yes.

Delight to find out we were living near a volcano?

Yes.

Why?

Picture this; every year the Tungurahua loves to show off her natural and dangerous beauty. The pitch black sky at night with a million and one stars and the concert of crickets are all robbed of the spot light when it's the volcanoes turn to shine. Literally.

The Tungurahua is surrounded by an orange glow, and spews out of its mouth (like fireworks) molten lava of every shade of red known to man. And we are the only ones who have front row seats...

Exciting and nerve wrecking? Yes.

Dangerous? Yeah, but were used to it already.

Incredible beautiful and hypnotizing?

You have no idea ;)

 Hidden Paradise

You'd expect a place so beautiful and so affordable as Riobamba to be floated with tourist’s right? Wrong.

Even though Ecuador was named "one of the best countries to retire in" And Riobamba is one of the top ten best towns in the country......

When people think about Ecuador the first places that come to mind while planning a vacation usually are Quito, Guayaquil, and Galapagos. And while those places are beautiful they usually are well...more expensive.

And I don't mean "expensive". I mean EXPENSIVE!

Hotels, taxis, food, everything cost more in those places. But if you have extra money to burn and really want to visit those places go for it. But if you’re on a budget or just want to get to know Ecuador’s "hidden gems" then the town of Riobamba is for you!

To tell you the truth here in Riobamba there are hotels and restaurant’s just as good (or even better, you decide) as the ones in Quito or Guayaquil, if you know where to look of course. That's where this site comes in....

Exposing Paradise

I remember very clearly Googling the word "Riobamba" years ago. I was curious to learn more about this town; when were the parades, where were the best places to eat, and if there were any fun thing to do, etc.

Things a tourist usually looks at online before deciding where they are going to spend their vacation.

And what did I find?

Website after website with either very little or out-of-date information about Riobamba or most often both.

This bothered me since "Riobamba" is so much more than a "town" in Ecuador. For days I searched in vain for a website that really shared Riobamba's  beauty/culture/warm people.

Needless to say I did not find it.

Then one day (after hours of searching) I don't exactly remember how I discovered SBI!

SBI! stands for Site Sell Build it! It helps people turn any passion, hobby, or area of expertise into an online business.

A real business, one that make actually money.

Most people, (like you and me!) don't realize that any topic and be turned into a website that makes decent income.

But me, build a website? Me?

I swear to you my kid sisters (8 and 10) know more about computers then me. They showed me how to build a Facebook page!

However I alone built this website with the help of SBI so as you can see...if I can do it anyone can.

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.
Bruce Lee

So as you can see I got my "wish" I wanted a website that showed people how incredibly beautiful and unique Riobamba is one, a site that allows tourist's to see when the parades are, and where are the best restaurants and hotels. And....

Here it is!

I hope YOU my dear reader like it, because it really was built for you ;)

To build a website with SBI you don't need to know how to design websites or any programming skills or any kind of advance computer knowledge. You don't even need a product or service to sell.

All you need are two things; motivation, and common sense.

SBI has everything you need to build your website, (yes absolutely everything) more importantly, they teach you baby step by baby step how to use all the tools to build a successful income generating website.

Believe me if it wasn't for SBI's 24 hour a day support I would have never been able to build this site!

Check out this Video Tour to see how SBI works or see this Quick Tour if you don't have time right now.

Also take a look at this; hundreds of successful SBI websites all of them built by normal people like you and me. All these sites are some of the most successful sites on the web.

As you can see there is a impressive amount of different concepts that people have turned into income generating websites all with the help of SBI. I started the site your on now right in 2012, but it wasn't until 2013 that I started to make money (mostly because I started this site as a hobby).

SBI allows you to work at you own pace, you decide how often you work on your site.

Of course at the beginning it's a lot of work, but the truth is (at least for me it was) that when you do something you love it doesn't actually feel like work. If you want you can do it 3 hours a day or in your spare time.

And the best thing is it's totally risk free. SBI come with full 90 days money back guarantee.

So, how do I make money? Mainly through advertising. I'm sure you noticed those links that say "infolinks" and "ads by Google". Anytime someone clicks on them I make money.

This is such an in demand question that I created this page with more details about how I make money and answers to other popular questions.

There are endless ways to make money with a website; referrals, sell e-goods, sell products for a commission, sell e-books, advertise with Google, infolinks, Amazon, Chiquita, etc.

The list goes on, but no worry SBI shows you how to do all this too.

Want more ideas from other SBIer's? Then be sure to see the Case Studies.

Lots of people complain every day that they wish they didn't have to get up early to go to work, fight morning traffic just to rush to a place they hate, work for mean bosses, etc.

Wouldn't you like to spend more time with your loved one? After all they tend to grow so fast, don't they?

Wouldn't you like to enjoy the morning sun while calmly sipping your coffee (instead of burning your throat)?

Or how about being your own boss? What about working in you pajamas? All I have to say is...

What are you waiting for...?

Try SBI - If I can do this you can too.

If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done.

P.S. If 60+ year old Baltazar can climb a mountain twice a week for a living, than YOU can succeed with Solo Build It!

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
