What is it? Okay picture this (and try not to get hungry!)
Roasted pork cook to perfection (but still juicy) with streaming hot Mote (a type of white corn) and homemade hot sauce! You can have this with 100% natural juice or soda or beer. This dish is the #1 favorite of the people of Riobamba.
 A whole section in Mercado La Merced is dedicated to selling just roasted pork!

Caldo de Gallina:

UN-caged, grass-feed hens, combined with carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, and other natural spices that give you a homemade style chicken soup just like grandma used to make! Although all of these typical Ecuadorian foods can be found at the market La Merced, there are other indoor Markets that serve these delicious plates as well, for example La Condamine.
